Problem feeding behaviors we address

  • Refusal to eat or drink
  • Difficulty chewing or swallowing food
  • Gagging, vomiting, or coughing when eating or drinking
  • Limited variety of food
  • Poor weight gain
  • Requiring extended time to finish meals
  • Difficulty transitioning from bottle to purees and solids
  • Weak oral motor skills related to feeding

What an evaluation looks like

After a thorough review of the medical and feeding history you provide, a speech-language pathologist or occupational therapist sits down with you and your child to observe a meal or snack and further assess oral motor skills, seating, and behavior during mealtime. If your child qualifies, our office manager will help you schedule regular visits.
